STUDENT AGES AND CURRICULUM
Like the other Cambridge Schools in the UAE, GCS will offer the National Curriculum for England to students from pre-KG to Year 13 (Grade 12). In its first year of operations, the school will enroll students up to Year 5 and then gradually build up to A Level. The school prides itself on its values-driven community, where children feel happy and safe. It places a strong focus on design thinking and problem solving both within and outside the classroom, and students will have daily opportunities to explore innovative solutions to complex challenges. Through appreciative inquiry, students will be taught to acknowledge the good in everyone they meet and everything they see.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM The school’s principal, Albie Huyser, has extensive experience in leading start-up schools and brings with her not only in-depth knowledge of the Cambridge system, but also the enthusiasm and passion to make the school distinctive and trailblazing. In addition, the school will be overseen and guided by Ranju Anand, Vice President — Schools at GEMS Education, who adds to the extensive expertise and experience of the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
